Realizing

The wind is blowing
leaves around,
across the green grass,
upon the ground.
She's sitting there,
across from me,
her in the playground,
and I by a tree.
She is as beautiful;
as the singing bird that flew by,
as the flowers that are yonder,
as the clouds in the sky.
I notice she is smiling,
like the sun it does shine.
I know she is taken,
but I long for her to be mine.
And as I sit here,
remebering the way things were,
I realize how much that,
I still love her.

This is lovely, Alecia. You have a good grasp of rhythm and rhyme. It's hard to rhyme without sounding like Dr. Seuss, but you can do it!
